Close to 50 participants, made-up of young people, students, and teachers of Uluibau Primary School attended the Island Breeze Fiji Rugby Plus (IBFRP) clinic in Moturiki, Lomaiviti, last Saturday.
The clinic also boosted a lot of activities in the village.
The session was facilitated by Ovalau Rugby Union head coach Luke Vulo, Under-19 coach Apisai Boila, and supported by former rugby educator Osea Umumulovo.
Island Breeze Rugby Plus director Waqa Baravilala said the one-day clinic is a prelude to the weeklong clinic they will run in Vatukalo Village in December.
“We are pleased to be working with our friends from Uluibau, this has been through an invite from them and it really has gone well,” said Baravilala.
“Following that there are plans to run a further three-day clinic in Uluibau.”
Island Breeze Rugby Plus continues to herald’s Life after Rugby and a big part of the outreach is its Chaplaincy program, this was facilitated by Pastor Mosese Tamaniceva and Lasarusa Nasenivalu.
In February and March this year, the organization also ran a week-long clinic in Lovoni Village in Ovalau and at Koroivonu Village in Tunuloa, Cakaudrove.
