Local Comedians First Ever Show

Patrons witnessed an ‘all local’ standup comedians show, the first of its kind, that was held at the Fiji Museum in Suva on the 3rd of September with another to hit the stage on the 1st of October.

LOL Mada, a night of comedy organized by local musician, Apakuki Nalawa said “We wanted to create an event that added value to our core business; music and encompass mature audience entertainment as a whole.”

“It was originally planned to be launched in March but had to be canceled because of Covid-19 but we figured now is the time people need a little laughter and fun in their lives so we’ve progressed with a series of these events. There were great kava and food along with other refreshments which makes it a great night out,” he said.

Jerry Ligairi, one of the three comedians said that he was overwhelmed by the response of the audience and turnout and hopes this will inspire more people to come out of their comfort zone and try something new.

A very enthusiastic supporter, Tavai Bale commented “We Fijians know how to be funny without trying too hard and I will definitely return to watch the show again.”

Ellana Bickerdike, a vendor at the event said “It was a first of its kind for Fiji and well done to the resonance team for bringing this to life”.

The next event is on the 3rd of October in Suva and you can get your tickets at the Ginger Kitchen, Fiji Museum, Thurston Garden.
