New Zealand based company Dollar King opened its first shop in Fiji yesterday.
Dollar Things opened at the newly refurbished Damodar Complex at Scott Street, Suva.
As the first tenant to operate at the new complex, Dollar King director Andy Yoo said the company invested close to $3million on the new outlet.
“We are a New Zealand Company and we have 90 shops all across New Zealand,” Mr Yoo said.
“We just opened one in Christchurch and this one opened today (yesterday) is the first one in Fiji,” he said.
He said the location of the shop is very convenient.
“We have also been blessed with this very prime location, so much so we have occupied two floors for our shop.
“When the opportunity came for us to invest in Fiji, we saw this as the most perfect spot to open our shop.
“We have been very busy and the feedback from the customers has been great.
“There’s lots of traffic here and as soon as we opened at 9am this morning, our shop has been crowded with people checking out all we have on offer.”
He said there were plans to open another 10 shops in the country in three years.
“We are also looking at opportunities in the West as well and Labasa.”
“This is a one stop shop for everyone’s needs, from hair accessories, stationery, hardware, kitchenware, toys, party accessories and equipment, homeware and footwear.
